The School of Health Sciences is offering a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students who wish to study at the School. Scholarships are available for  International, UK/EU students to pursue MSc programme at Robert Gordon University, UK. The scholarships are offered in the field of Clinical/Sports Biomechanics, Diagnostic Radiography (pre registration), Physiotherapy (pre-registration) and Health Improvement Health Promotion.
Study Subject(s): The scholarship is provided in Clinical/Sports Biomechanics, Diagnostic Radiography (pre registration), Physiotherapy (pre-registration) and Health Improvement Health Promotion.

Eligibility:
-MSc Clinical/Sports Biomechanics; scholarships available for  overseas students only.
-MSc Diagnostic Radiography (pre registration); scholarships available for both home and overseas students.
-MSc Physiotherapy (pre registration); scholarships available for both home and overseas students.
-MSc Health Improvement Health Promotion; scholarships available for overseas students only*
-as UK/EU students already pay a lower fee on these courses (which are part-funded by the Scottish Government) there are no merit based scholarships for UK/EU students on these courses in 2013/14.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Home/EU and Overseas students can apply for the scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The School of Health Sciences is pleased to offer a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students who wish to study at the School.You may be an international student or you may be a UK / EU student wishing to study on a full-cost course.

MSc Clinical/Sports Biomechanics – 6 awards
MSc Diagnostic Radiography (pre registration) – 3 awards
MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) – 6 awards
MSc Health Improvement Health Promotion – 3 awards.

What does it cover? MSc Clinical/Sports Biomechanics – 6 awards of £1000 each. Course commences September 2013.
MSc Diagnostic Radiography (pre registration) – 3 awards of £1000 each. Course commences January 2014.
MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) – 6 awards of £1000 each. Course commences January 2014.
MSc Health Improvement Health Promotion – 3 awards of £1000 each. Course commences January 2014.
Selection Criteria:
-The School’s award panel will meet after the closing date to consider all eligible scholarship applications received by the due date.
-The School will assess all applications against the following criteria:
Previous academic record and your suitability for postgraduate study in School, ie:
-Class of degree / CGPA / final score of first degree
-Relevance of your first degree to the course you are applying for
-The standing of the previous academic institution attended
-Any prizes or awards given to you in your first degree
-Relevant industrial or professional experience
-Evidence of workplace experience that is relevant to the course you are applying for
-Personal achievements: evidence of personal achievements in your life to date which indicate your ability to contribute to the wider life of the University community during your studies and the professional community that you will be joining on graduation
-In the event that 2 applications are scored identically and only one award is available, the panel will award the scholarship to the first application received, using the date of receipt in the University as the relevant date
Notifications:
-Decisions will be announced in December  for MSc Diagnostic Radiography, Health Improvement Health Promotion and Physiotherapy.
-Decisions will be announced in July for MSc Clinical/Sports Biomechanics.
-Successful applicants will be informed in the first instance by email
-Applicants will be required to respond by email to accept the offer. Failure to accept the offer will lead to the scholarship offer being withdrawn and offered to an alternative applicant.

You should return it to University by post, fax or as a scanned copy by e-mail. Please note that in order to be considered for a scholarship, you must already hold an offer of a place to study on an eligible course at the School; you must therefore ensure that your application for a place is submitted well in advance.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The deadline to apply is 29 November 2013 for MSc Diagnostic Radiography, MSc Physiotherapy, and MSc Health Improvement and Promotion and no later than 28 June 2013 for MSc Clinical/Sports Biomechanics.
