ศึกษาวิจัยด้านศิลปะในสกอตแลนด์

Edinburgh College of Art ซึ่งอยู่ในUniversity of Edinburgh กำลังเปิดรับสมัครนักศึกษาต่างชาติ เพื่อชิงทุนระดับ PhD และ PG ประจำปีการศึกษา 2015-2016 จำนวน 10 ทุน โดยเป็นทุนสำหรับการศึกษาวิจัยแบบเต็มเวลา เดทไลน์การสมัคร 10 เมษายน 2015
           University of Edinburgh เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยเก่าแก่เป็นอันดับ 4 ของสก็อตแลนด์ โดยก่อตั้งถัดจาก St Andrews, Glasgow และ Aberdeen  จากการจัดอันดับของมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วโลก the University of Edinburgh ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ดีที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของสก็อตแลนด์  โดยติดอันดับ 21 ของโลกโดยการจัดอันดับของ QS 2012 นอกจากนี้มหาวิทยาลัยยังติดอันดับ World’s Top 50  ในด้าน Arts and Design; Humanities, Biomedicine, Computer Science, Engineering, และ Social Science และยังเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ได้รับเงินสนับสนุนมากเป็นอันดับสามรองจากมหาวิทยาลัยอ็อกซ์ฟอร์ดและเคมบริดจ์
        เอดินเบอระเป็นหนึ่งในสามมหาวิทยาลัยของ UK ที่มีศิษย์เก่าเป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีของสหราชอาณาจักร ด้วยความที่เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงเก่าแก่มานาน เอดินเบอระจึงถือเป็นแม่แบบให้กับมหาวิทยาลัยชื่อดังในหลายประเทศ อาทิ มหาวิทยาลัย Top 10 ในประเทศแคนาดาสองแห่ง คือ McGill University และ Queen’s University รวมถึง Medical School ของ University of Pennsylvania ซึ่งเป็นมหาวิทยาลัย Top 10 ของสหรัฐอเมริกา เป็นต้น
          ทุน Edinburgh College of Art PhD and PG Scholarships in UK, 2015-2016เป็นทุนสำหรับการศึกษาวิจัยระดับปริญญาเอกและหลังปริญญาเอก ที่เป็นโปรแกรมฟูล-ทาม ส่วนนักศึกษาพาร์ท-ทามก็สามารถสมัครได้ แต่ต้องโอนย้ายมาเรียนเต็มเวลา หากได้รับทุนแล้ว โดยทุนนี้ให้ศึกษาในสาขาต่อไปนี้
-School of Art: Contemporary Art and Education; Contemporary Art Practices; Extra disciplinary Arts: Education/Anthropology/Social Practices/Sciences; Parahumanities; Contemporary Visual, Material and Sensual Cultures; Contemporary Art Theories, Histories & Criticism; Artist-led Cultures.
-School of Design: Place, Body and Environment; Design and Digital Technologies; Materiality and Making; Mechanics of Narrative; Design History and Theory; Design Anthropology; and Contemporary Film Theory and Practice.
-ESALA (Architecture and Landscape Architecture): The History, Theory, and Conservation of Architecture and Urbanism; Architectural Design; Sustainability; Material Science and Technology (especially concrete); Digital Media; Landscape Architecture; and Cultural Studies in Architecture.
-History of Art: Western visual culture from c.400 to 2013; Islamic art; Chinese art.
-Reid School of Music: Acoustics; Composition (instrumental/algorithmic /computer/electronic); Community Music; Improvisation, Musical Instrument Research; Music for Screen; Musicology (including Popular Music); Music Psychology.
         เงื่อนไขในการสมัครขอทุน          
-กรณีต้องการเริ่มต้นศึกษาใน academic year 2015-2016ผู้สมัครต้องยื่นสมัครเรียนกับมหาวิทยาลัยในระบบออนไลน์ ก่อน 28 มีนาคม 2015(เดทไลน์สมัครขอทุน 10 เมษายน 2015) เท่านั้นจึงจะได้รับการพิจารณาเรื่องขอทุน
-หากได้ทุนของ University of Edinburgh หรือ ECA PhD 3-year Scholarship แล้ว พบว่าผู้สมัครได้ทุนของมหาวิทยาลัยอื่นด้วย จะต้องสละสิทธิ์ทุนของ ECA
       ผลประโยชน์ที่จะได้รับ
-5 x ECA PhD Scholarships เงินสนับสนุนปีละ £13,000 ตลอด 3 ปีของโปรแกรม
-5 x ECA 1-year PG Scholarships เงินสนับสนุนปีละ £5,000 ตลอด 1 ปี ซึ่งให้กับผู้สมัครใหม่ และ on-programme research and taught postgraduate students from all disciplines across ECA (that is, studying for a PhD, MPhil, MSc by Research, MSc, MMus, MArch, MLA, MA or MFA in one of our five schools).
