Scholarship Provider: SOAS, University of London Scholarship can be taken at: UK Eligibility:-Applicants must possess or expect to be awarded a Distinction in their Masters Degree from a UK university. Applicants with a non-UK degree to be adjudged in the top rank by their referees and transcript. -Applicants must have an offer of admission to a Research programme at SOAS by the scholarship application deadline. -Only new research students may apply: those already enrolled on a research degree programme at SOAS are not eligible to apply. -Candidates currently completing a Masters degree are welcome to apply. Scholarship Open for International Students: Overseas students can apply for this scholarship. Scholarship Description: The SOAS Doctoral Scholarships (4 scholarships in the Faculty of Languages and Cultures) are available for students who are proposing to register full-time or part-time for a research degree at SOAS in the academic session 2013/14. This scholarship will provide remission of the tuition fees.New awards offered in 2013 are valid only for the 2013/14 academic session but, subject to satisfactory progress, they may be renewed for the normal duration of a student?s registration (three years full-time and six years part-time). What does it cover?? This scholarship will provide remission of the tuition fees. Selection criteria:-Candidates will be assessed on academic merit by a Selection Panel consisting of three academic members. -The assessment of your application will be based on the information in your application. Selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statement and other relevant information. Notification: All candidates will be notified by e-mail regarding the outcome of their application, generally by the end of May. Successful candidates will also be notified in writing.
