IRP Foundation funded Basic and Clinical Research Grants with special emphasis on the Spinal Cord for International Students, Switzerland Study Subject(s):Basic and Clinical Research Course Level:Research Scholarship Provider: IRP Foundation Scholarship can be taken at: Switzerland Eligibility: -The IRP Foundation finances research projects regardless of the nationality of the researcher and the place of work; -Projects submitted for consideration must be focused on basic or clinical research into paraplegia or related fields; -The deadline for submission of proposals is 31 October each year; Proposals are evaluated by the IRP/IFP Scientific Committee by end February of the following year. -The funding of the best projects recommended by the Committee is decided upon in March by the IRP and IFP foundations? boards and funds are made available to successful applications by the second semester of the same year. Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes Scholarship Description: Basic and Clinical Research on CNS Regeneration Neuroprotection and Functional Restoration with special emphasis on the spinal cord. Funds for one or two years will be allocated up to 75,000 Swiss Francs for one year, 150,000 Swiss Francs for two years on the basis of scientific quality and relevance to paraplegia for research proposals studying mechanisms of injury and repair, as well as long term recovery. Applications from start up groups are welcome.
