Research Fellowships for the applicants of Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand at API Participating Countries, 2013-14 Study Subject(s): Changing identities and their social, historical and cultural contexts, Reflection on the human condition and the search for social justice, Globalization: structures, processes, and alternatives Course Level:Research Scholarship Provider: The Nippon Foundation Fellowships Scholarship can be taken at: Participating Countries (Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand) Eligibility:-Applicants must be a national of or hold residence status in one of the five participating countries (Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand) and reside in the country at the time of the application; attend the interview at the designated date and place; -propose research and/or professional activities to be conducted between July 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014; -have a basic knowledge of English or a language/s spoken in the country/ies where the proposed research and/or activities will be conducted; -and be based in the region/country and will continue to be so in the future. Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes ( Participating Countries (Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand)) Scholarship Description: The Nippon Foundation Fellowships for Asian Public Intellectuals (API Fellowships Program) aims to promote mutual learning among Asian public intellectuals and to contribute to the growth of public spaces in which effective responses to regional needs can be generated. It will enable public intellectuals and those aspiring to be one, from all fields of expertise, to pursue intellectual, cultural and professional projects/activities in other participating Asian countries according to one of three pre-determined themes.
