AUN – SUN/SixERS Academic Seminar and Study in Japan 2019

ASEAN University Network (AUN) in partnership with the consortium of Six National Universities Network/International Education & Research System, Japan (SUN/SixERS) comprising Chiba University, Kanazawa University, Kumamoto University, Nagasaki University, Niigata University and Okayama University, will organise AUN – SUN/SixERS Academic Seminar 2019 on 18 March 2019 at Chulalongkorn University.
Established in 2013, SUN/SixERS is the alliance of six national comprehensive universities which were all formerly national medical universities and are now flagship universities in each region. It aims to jointly enrich education, academic research, and social action while respecting each individual’s initiatives. In addition, it further develops highly trained graduates for leadership and advancement of academic research in a globalising world. AUN-SUN/SixERS Academic Seminar 2019 is one of SUN/SixERS’ international activities and is the first time to be held in Thailand. It provides an opportunity for students in Thailand to explore the insights of education in Japan through the sharing of experiences by Thai alumni who had graduated from Japan, special lectures by honorable professors, and personal consultation on studying in Japan with the six national universities.
The event is comprised of 3 parts:
1) Experience sharing panel by 3 Thai alumni who had graduated from Japan:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Pichapak Sriyapai, Srinakharinwirot University
- Dr. Eakkasit Punrat, Ramkhamhaeng University
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajiarax Dhirathiti , Mahidol University
2) Academic seminars:
- Seminar 1: “Cell shape: When cell changes its shape, what’s going on inside?”

- Seminar 2: “Study of Intangible Cultural Heritages: Case of Aenokoto Ritual in Japan”
