มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์ (NUS) และมหาวิทยาลัยสแตนฟอร์ด (Stanford)ในสหรัฐ ยินดีที่จะประกาศทุนแก่ผู้สมัครจากทุกสัญชาติ เป็นทุนวิจัยเกี่ยวกับ contemporary Southeast Asiaโดยดำเนินการวิจัยที่ทั้งNUS และ Stanford ที่ละ 2-3 เดือน โดยผู้ได้ทุนจะได้เงินเดือน ๆ ละ US$ 7500 รวมถึงค่าตั๋วเครื่องบินไป-กลับที่เกี่ยวข้อง
 
          มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติสิงคโปร์(National University of Singapore) เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยวิจัยแห่งชาติของสิงคโปร์ มีภารกิจหลักคือการมีส่วนร่วมในสังคมผ่านความก้าวหน้าของความรู้และการเรียนรู้ในเรื่องเกี่ยวกับมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์      
           ผู้สมัครโครงการLee Kong Chian NUS-Stanford Distinguished Fellowship on Southeast Asia, 2019-2020ที่มาจากชาติที่ไม่ได้ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาหลัก ต้องแสดงหลักฐานความสามารถด้านภาอังกฤษTOEFLหรือ IELTS (TOEFL score is required: 85 for the internet-based test (with a minimum score of 22 for the writing section); or 580 for the paper-based test; or 237 for the computer-based test. Alternatively, an IELTS result of 6.0 is required. Some Departments/Programmes may set higher requirements than those stated above e.g., the Master of Social Work requires a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. TOEFL or IELTS results are only valid for two years after the test and the validity should not expire before the beginning of the application period for the coursework programme. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) has indicated that score reports are valid only if the university receives them directly from ETS.)
